Can the PigCHAMP program remember my User Name and Password? I don’t like typing it in every time I access the program.
Answer
As long as you are using an account other than the default SYSADMIN, the program can remember your user name and password. Follow the steps below:
1. Click on Settings in the toolbar
2. From the drop down menu, click on User Preferences
3. There are nine different categories: Sign-On Security, Importing Farm Data, Farm Identification, Female Age, Data Entry Settings, Report Settings, Language, Date Formats, SPI & BVSP
4. Click on Sign-On Security
5. To remember user log-in information: Click on the checkbox in front of Allow user to remember their sign-on data, placing a checkmark in the box
6. Click on Apply
7. Click on OK

To learn more about setting System Preferences in Care 3000, see the following FAQ Establishing Program Settings in Care 3000. It includes a short video on establishing your preferences.

NOTE: If users are allowed to save their username and password on their computer, anyone with access to the user’s Windows account will be able to gain access to Care 3000 as the user.

Due to security reasons, the SYSADMIN account will never be allowed to save their credentials on the computer being used to access Care 3000
