We target for a 21-day lactation length. What reports can I run in PigCHAMP to see if we are hitting the Lactation Length target?
Answer
Before you run any reports, you need to make sure that you have established your lactation length target in PigCHAMP. To set your targets, click on the Farms Menu, then click on Targets and Other Settings. The Lactation Length target can be found in the Weaning Section of the Target screen.

Once the target has been set, there are several reports that you can run to see if you are reaching your Lactation Length goal. A few of the best reports to see this on are: Cohort Analysis, Lactation Length Analysis, Performance Trend Analysis, and Production Summary.

The Weaning Section of the Cohort Analysis will provide you with the average Lactation Length for each time period, as well as the average for the entire time period in which the report was ran.

The Lactation Length Analysis will provide you with a graphical look at the cause and effect that previous Lactation Length has on the following litter. It will also display a Lactation Length Histogram for the time period on the last page of the report.

The weaning section of the Performance Trend Analysis is much like the Cohort Analysis, except it will also show your target information so you can quickly tell if you are meeting your Lactation Length target.

The Production Summary will show also show you your target information, displaying actual production versus targeted production.

The following document Lactation Length Reports.doc indicates where the lactation length is available on each report mentioned above.
