If you have PigCHAMP installed when you upgrade to Windows 10 this will cause the PigCHAMP license to become invalid, which is normal. You will need to request a new license. If there are additional Windows updates available after the upgrade to Windows 10 this could also cause the license to kick out a second time, so it is suggested to ensure you have all updates complete prior to requesting a new PigCHAMP license. PigCHAMP licenses are processed between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Central time Monday - Friday, excluding major US holidays.
After the upgrade and all the additional updates have been installed and you open PigCHAMP for the first time you can expect the following experience:
1. PigCHAMP is opened for the first time after upgrading to Windows 10. You will receive the message, “PigCHAMP is not licensed. Please contact PigCHAMP Licensing if you need further assistance.” Click OK on this message. 2. After OK is selected you will be taken to the “About PigCHAMP” screen where you will need to click on the “Send or Receive” button. 3. When the License Request box appears type a note in the box stating “upgraded to windows 10” and select OK. A box will appear confirming that the license request has been sent. 4. The email address listed on the Customer Information tab will receive an email from PigCHAMP Registration once the license has been processed, that is simply your cue to come back into PigCHAMP and select the Send or Receive button again to import the license.
