| CSV Export to Excel | | Question | | When I export my PigCHAMP trace list to a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet in csv format, it puts everything in the first column with commas between the different entries instead of just putting it into columns automatically. What can I do to fix this? | Answer | 1. Open the exported csv file in Microsoft Excel. 2. Highlight column 1, where the data is displayed by clicking on the box labeled A. 3. Click on Data (on the menu bar) and choose Text to Columns. A setup wizard will begin. 4. Choose Delimited, click on Next. 5. In the box marked Delimiters, check the comma box. 6. Click Finish.
Now your Excel data should be properly divided into columns. | Back to Search Results |
